The curriculum consists of six lesson plans.
• The first four lessons include a discussion of the bee’s work characteristics as related to the school work habits of completing tasks on time, following directions, paying attention, and doing one’s best.
• The fifth lesson highlights a work ethic demonstrated by the historical figure Helen Keller and makes a connection to student usage in daily learning activities.
• The last lesson presents an opportunity to practice, discuss, and review the study skills objectives.
Hands-on activities, class discussion, cassettes, posters, and stickers, are included to provide real-world experiences. Puppets can also be used to make the program more interesting.
