The school in this book has kids who push and tease and bully.
They pick on kids, call kids names, and ostracize. The main character of the book does not do these things, but she also does nothing to stop it. Then, one day it happens to her. She’s teased in the cafeteria and sees her friends doing exactly what she did when it happened to others. Nothing! The experience changes her behavior and students learn that one child at a time can help change a school.
