How many careers can an elementary student name when looking at a picture of an ear of corn? How many careers can a middle-school student name when looking at a picture of an ear or corn? This versatile program stretches the minds of both young and older students.
The program includes 52 picture cards that will stimulate students to identify many different related careers. Also included are twelve 30-minute lessons that develop students' ability to use abstract-thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity. For use with readers and non-readers. The cards may be cut apart or left as is. Working together in a large groups, small groups or individually, students look at the picture and then name as many jobs as they can think of that relate to the pictured object, do a creative writing activity, categorize, play a guessing game, or any of the other included activity-oriented lessons. Students learn about different careers as they cooperate with one another to complete the activity. If you want an active lesson that stretches children’s minds, Picture Me This is the answer.
