Double Trouble illustrates how peer pressure can sometimes lead to negative behavior.
In an attempt to be accepted by the “cool” kids at school, Luis starts to do things he normally doesn’t do. He begins to copy homework, steal, lie, brag, bully, smoke and drink beer to impress his new friends. Luis invites the twins to his house while his parents are not home for what turns out to be a party and everything starts to spin out of control. He feels “cool” until things go wrong and he ends up in trouble with kids at school, his teacher, his parents, and the police. Luis learns that there can be serious consequences for such negative behavior and being “cool” can sometimes come with a price.
This video includes two presentations, one with and one without counselor comments. Discussion questions at the end of the video help reinforce the bully and victim concepts presented in the story.
