18 positive character education traits are emphasized in this fun bingo game for young students.
Each of the 30 different bingo gameboards has nine character traits. The traits are in three columns under the heading of B-A-1. Using the included calling cards, the leader calls the heading letter/number and the character-trait word. Students look at their gameboard and cover the square that matches the word that was called. The first letter of each word on the gameboard is much larger than the remainder of the letters. This makes the game playable by non-readers. In this case, the leader would say, "Look under the 'B' column and find a word that begins with the letter 'R.' " Students will look under the "B" column, and if they have the word "Respectful," cover the square. No beginning letters are repeated in any of the three columns. When the game is over, discuss the meanings of the words on the winning card. In addition to the gameboards and directions, their are four extension activities and reproducible coupons to award as prizes. The program is packaged in a zip lock bag for easy storage. When students play this game, and learn the meanings of the positive traits, they will feel A-One and B A-One.
