Whether you service one school or more, this program will let you reach every student, every day, in a minimal amount of time. This proactive, preventive program focuses on the school as a whole and emphasizes behaviors that cultivate and support respect, friendship, individuality, and compassion.

The daily lessons--which include student-inspiring role models, skits, and tips to be used at home and in school--may be read during morning announcements. You select one of the 36 weekly topics and immediately you have 5 five-minute presentations in the following weekly format:

Monday—Recognition and Inspiration: Students nominated as Student of the Week for their performance of the previous week’s goal are recognized. The weekly goal is announced, and its meaning is clarified for the students.

Tuesday—Rationale: Why Should We Do This? explains the reason to strive for the goal.

Wednesday—Role Models: Tidbits are related about famous people and others who do or have done a great job of achieving the weekly goal.

Thursday—At Home: Students are given an assignment concerning ways to achieve this goal at home and in school.

Friday—What Would You Do? Students are selected to perform skits about ways to engage in positive behaviors.

Each weekly topic contains reproducible parent letters and classroom activities that can be taught by the counselor or classroom teacher. Topics include: Include Everyone; Walk In Someone Else’s Shoes, Be Responsible; Be Honest; Forgive Others; Have An Open Mind; Don’t Give Up; Plus 30 other life skill subjects.
