Based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, this program helps children cope with an alcoholic or addict in their home.

Each Stepping Stone lesson includes activities that motivate the children to talk about the selected topic. Each session is written in an easy-to-follow format and all materials needed for each session are included. Lessons are enhanced with included pictures and slogans that can be reproduced and displayed for group viewing. Also included is a pre- and post-evaluation form to use with the participants and evaluative data.

"The Stepping Stones Program gives children the opportunity to be open and genuine, to discuss their problems, and to see how their view on those problems might be changed, giving them the relief and hope they need."

~~ Natalia Zinovieve, Ed.D. St. Petersburg State University, Russia
