A program for young students that introduces them to careers, thinking skills, and allows them to use very elementary math skills.

Children learn the numbers zero to ten as they select a reproducible activity sheet with pictures that relates to the featured career. Each career is introduced with a clever, easy-to-read poem. Below the poem and the cartoon drawing of the worker, are ten small pictures of objects. If students are working on the second activity sheet, they will color the two objects that relate to the career. For example, the second activity sheet relates to a dentist. The assortment of pictures will include two pictures of a tooth. Students color only the teeth and do not color the remaining objects. The activity pages are reproduced and placed in a booklet which students can take home when the unit is finished. Also included are matching activities and career flash cards that depict the careers featured in the program. It's difficult to find appropriate materials for young students. This program is easy-to-do and success-oriented for even the youngest of school students.
